Grain-free brownies

These brownies are delicious, easy, quick and healthy. They are oil and grain free as well as processed sugar free. They are high in protein and good fats thanks to their almond content and the cocoa powder. You will love them.

makes 6 square brownies

Ingredients:

·       4 medjool dates

·       1 cup almond meal

·       1 tsp vanilla extract

·       ¼ cup cocoa powder

·       ¼ cup almond m*lk (or any other alternative m*lk)

·       1 tbsp maple syrup

 

Method:

·       Preheat the oven to 175C.

·       Firstly, blend the medjool dates (no need to soak them) with the almond milk, the maple syrup and the vanilla extract until the dates are finely chopped.

·       Add the rest of your ingredients and run your food processor for a few seconds until the mixture is well blended (you can skip this step and just mix the ingredients in a bowl)

·       Spoon the mixture into a small baking tray lined with parchment paper.

·       Wet the back of a silicone spoon and use it to smooth the surface of the brownie.

·       Bake the brownies for about 20’-30’ depending on how thick you made it.
